Here is my block for July along with a couple of close up photos of the raccoon and the bird called Oyster Catcher.

I have included a little bit of May's block so all of the American Bald Eagle could be seen. This block also features a raccoon. The raccoon is done as an Embroidery Slip and is appliqued onto the block. I used silk embroidery floss to make the raccoon. This block measures 6" by 12" and in the third in the section of six.
Here is a picture of the blocks: April, May and June blocks sewn together.

The trees are Sitka Spruce and Douglas Fir trees done in many layers of the Feather Stitch done in 3,5, and 8 Pearl Cottons, to get a full pine bough. Each of the trees are embellished with copper and brass pine cone charms.
